Description

The Sales Assistant is responsible for directly assisting the assigned décor sales manager with administrative duties to help expedite the sales process. The focus will be to help write and price proposals for a quick and efficient proposal turn-around time to the client.

Sales Assistance

  • Provide administrative support directly to a sales manager
  • Effectively and efficiently assist with proposal writing & pricing
  • Assist with sending/receiving design contracts and payments/deposits
  • Data entry into Caterease
  • Make updates and changes to existing proposal in Caterease
  • Keep other departments informed with timely detailed event contract, accurate and updated information
  • Make updates to Red Flag as needed
  • Attend client meetings and site visits to venues as needed with sales manager
  • Attend turn over meetings as needed
  • Help manage client databases
  • Obtain a good knowledge of our décor props and floral department
  • Have a good understanding of general event logistics

Event Coordinating

  • Assist with Event Coordinating procedures as needed
  • Liaison with production and floral to ensure the proper flow of information
  • Work on-site during set up as needed

Position Requirements
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Previous experience in events sales or coordination preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to set and accomplish goals
  • Accurate and detailed work
  • Ability to work in busy, fast paced environment
