Description

Seeking a people-oriented candidate to fill a full-time, year-round position in the Tahoe Donner standards office. We are looking for a strong team partner to help our fun and energetic community standards office to assist in compliance and enforcement activities in Tahoe Donner, provide complaint investigations and in-field inspections relating to violations, and educate and communicate on community matters. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer relations skills, experience in property maintenance or management, compliance or other related fields, administrative talents, and a general want to educate, and aid customers who call, email, and walk-in throughout the day.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for responding to complaints and documents C&R and rule violations and performs necessary inspections within the Tahoe Donner development to ensure compliance with Association C&R’s, Covenant Rules and the Architectural Standards Rules, Procedures and Restrictions for Land Use. This position inspects properties to verify complaints, for deferred maintenance and new construction inspections. This position performs necessary site and final inspections.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Provide excellent customer service to members, business partners and employees.
  2. Inspect properties, homes and construction sites within Tahoe Donner Association with appropriate permits and enforce rules set forth by the Covenants Committee, Architectural Standards Committee, and Tahoe Donner Association.
  3. Inspect properties as viewed from the street for enforcement of Association rules. Provide re-inspection work as required.
  4. Maintain accurate records of inspections performed including discussions with individuals, noncompliance with C&R’s and Association rules and regulations. Prepare notices according to office procedures including additional documentation as required.
  5. Respond to member inquiries regarding alleged violations in person and frequently meet with members and contractors regarding compliance concerns.
  6. Receive and review plan submittals for new construction and modification to existing structures when required.
  7. Accept fees for construction permit process; process fee collection documentation to the accounting department.
  8. Process permit refunds and check requests for review by the Community Standards Manager.
  9. Prepare documentation and reports for the Architectural Standards Committee and the Covenants Committee. Prepare written and telephone correspondence to members notifying them of noncompliance with rules.
  10. Attend sufficiency review meetings with Covenants Committee members. Issue Notice of Hearings, conduct further investigation or dismiss the complaint due to compliance or lack of jurisdictions as directed at sufficiency review.
  11. Prepare agendas, take and publish minutes for Covenants Committee meetings.
  12. Coordinate and interface regularly with Town of Truckee Code Enforcement Officer.
  13. Maintain current and working knowledge of current Tahoe Donner Association policies, procedures including Covenants Rules and Architectural Standards, Rules, Procedures and Restrictions for Land Use.
  14. Maintain a working knowledge of construction materials and basic industry standards.
  15. Safely operate vehicles to inspect properties with the development in all weather conditions.
  16. Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

 
Position Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • General construction knowledge including the ability to read building plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of business letter writing and business forms
  • Knowledge of office procedures, filing systems, and common office machines and their operation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs.
  • Valid Class C Driver License with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the Association insurance carrier.
