The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support all functions of a successful selection and onboarding processes of applicants for Opportunity Village. Including but not limited to: screening, interviewing, and recommending prospective applicants for employment. Implement strategic recruitment and retention concepts, practices, and procedures in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supports the overall talent acquisition strategy in collaboration with the talent acquisition specialist including peak planning, developing/refreshing hiring plans, recruiting/outreach.
  2. Source applicant pipeline to determine qualified candidates and forward applications to the hiring managers.
  3. Place advertisements, attends job fairs and assists in-house recruitment efforts.
  4. Extend offers of employment to candidates; ensure pre-employment processes are followed.
  5. Work with pending hires to ensure their background checks are processed timely this includes: an electronic background check, drug screen and fingerprinting paperwork.
  6. Steward new hires through orientation day: welcome them and ensure they are eligible to participate in orientation.
  7. Process new hire forms appropriately; Form I-9 Paperwork, OIG checks and E-verify. 
  8. Maintain and display the highest level of integrity and confidentiality in all aspects of Human Resources.
  9. Trains managers on hiring process and forms.
  10. Responds to employee inquiries and troubleshoots solutions.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

 

 
Position Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, co-workers and supervisors (verbal and written).
  • Must possess social perceptiveness to assess and understand other’s reactions and behaviors.
  • Computer literate.
  • Must possess basic math skills (i.e. adding, subtracting, etc.).
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret written information.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner and ensure confidentiality is of the highest priority in all aspects of duties performed and all communications, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret instructions, gain knowledge and have initiative; use discretion and independent judgment.
  • Must encompass professional demeanor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Two – four years’ experience working in HR.
  • Required: High level of positive energy and customer service orientation.
  • Required: Experience with applicant tracking software (ATS).
  • Required Knowledge of State and Federal Laws governing Human Resource/Recruiting.
  • Preferred: Previous experience working in Talent Acquisition.  
  • Preferred: Education in Human Resources or related field.
  • Preferred: Previous experience working with developmental disabilities.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed; occasional evenings and weekend shifts may be required.
