To continue to provide world-class service and support to both internal and external clients we need to add a Senior Accountant to our Life Science Connect team in Cranberry, PA. Historically our accounting department has consisted of our Controller who then receives ancillary support from various members of the team, so the successful candidate has to not just be OK with, but rather driven by, being hands-on. This is a great opportunity to learn all facets of our business and to have a real impact on the company's performance. Responsibilities Include: Monthly account reconciliation Processing payroll Calculating complex commissions and variable compensation Handling A/P, A/R, and banking Assist with the production of monthly financial statements Assist with financial budgeting and planning Managing employee personnel records – electronic and hard copy Employee benefits administration Processing personnel changes and new-hire paperwork     Position Requirements Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 Job Requirements: B.S. in Accounting or a B.S. in Finance or Business with accounting courses A minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant Experience with accounting software Highly proficiency with Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, v-look-up) Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Payroll processing experience Travel to Erie on a regular basis during first 6 months of employment Preferred Skills/Experience: CPA certification or 2-4 years experience in public accounting Experience with ADP and/or QuickBooks, or similiar software applications A strong need for correctness. Highly conscientious. High alacrity - willing to do multiple jobs outside of accounting Multi-state payroll processing Calculating complex variable compensation Building macros in Excel VertMarkets offers a generous compensation package.
