Essential Job Functions: Under the direction and supervision of the nurse manager provides leadership in satellite location(s). Monitors patient flow Manages maintenance of equipment Orders clinical supplies Runs and scribes for practitioners Set up and care for stress and/or echo-stress test patients Provides assistance with Holter monitors Ensure HIPPA guidelines are followed at all times.   Category Medical Assistant   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Location North Suffolk Cardiology - Cardiology   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Position Requirements Qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Medical Assistant in a multi-physician preferred Competence with computerized health records Ability to work and communicate well with other medical professionals Preference given to those with Cardiac Experience BLS certified   Physical Demands: The job may require from time to time to lift light to moderate amounts of weight (e.g., boxes of medical/facility supplies). Heavy computer use required. In accordance with the New York State Department of Health (DOH) order that all hospitals and nursing homes “continuously require all covered personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.” Upon receipt of a conditional job offer, candidates who are not already vaccinated must obtain the first dose of the vaccine within three (3) calendar days of job offer and must obtain any subsequent doses in accordance with the vaccine protocol.
