Description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Provides regular, logistical support, project management and production for webinars and digital events, initiatives, supporting the Program Ministers of the Justice and Local Church Ministry team, and other ministry teams by request. Ensures start to finish (schedule to live programing and platform publishing) of quality digital programing including Thursday’s For the Soul, Creation Justice Webinars, virtual gatherings and more.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project management and production of JLCM digital events, including communication directly with OPTIC and accountability towards deadlines
  • Support webinars and digital events directly through maintaining digital professionalism and excellence in digital events from streamlined intro to close
  • Scheduling and communicating with support staff, in conversation with their supervisors
  • Liaison directly with OPTIC and/or Events Management for digital events of JLCM
  • Work with contracted services to insure a smooth communication for digital programmatic offerings (e.g. Convergence)
  • Communicate with relevant panelists and guests regarding the details of each digital event, walking them through technological solutions where necessary, and collecting resources for sharing outwards
  • Ensure all Digital Events have appropriate copyright permissions
  • Maintains the JLCM Digital Events calendar, schedule, and platform
  • Train support staff for digital webinars and events in how to provide technological support, follow-up and “host” the chat and Q&A
  • Draft appropriate public-facing communications for marketing and follow ups in communication with the programmatic point person and OPTIC
  • Contributes content for ministry communications and marketing materials, such as the

Justice newsletter, website and/or devotionals etc. as requested

  • Interface consistently with WRIKE and/or other project management software in use
  • Troubleshoot digital processes, research and communicate solutions in conversation with OPTIC and Netsmart as needed
  • Research, suggest, and communicate with appropriate digital platforms for the execution of JLCM programmatic work
  • Develops and maintains professional and courteous relationships with UCC national and conference staff, community and religious partners and other constituents; serves as a positive role model by exemplifying values which are consistent with the United Church of Christ.
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to perform successfully in this position.

 

  • A minimum of four years demonstrated office administration skills and project management experience including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, some college coursework preferred.
  • Evidence of being a self-starter, able to prioritize work and perform with minimum supervision in the areas of planning, organizing, coordinating and making decisions and judgments relating to assigned projects and other responsibilities.
  • Strong creativity; ability to utilize existing resources to generate new ideas, forms, methods and interpretations.
  • High level of interpersonal and analytical skills; desire to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills, including ability to conceptualize and develop print resources and public speaking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to give careful attention to details and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and judgment.
  • Desire and sensitivity to work in diverse racial, ethnic, cultural and religious settings with commitment to pluralism in the workplace as well as in one understands of mission.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegially as well as independently.
  • Advanced computer skills: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point; software and internet technology skills, including social media platforms.

 

This position is Cleveland-based and not eligible for deployment.  Regular attendance will be required in the office.
