Field Data Technician Job Description
We are looking for a tech savvy individual to join our field team! Our team of Field Technicians are responsible, self-motivated and service-oriented people with great technical aptitude and customer service. We offer a highly competitive hourly wage along with a great work environment. Low-Voltage experience is preferred but not required. We believe in investing in our technicians and are constantly training to ensure success in the field!

Job Breakdown:
Our Field Technicians perform installations, preventive maintenance, break-fix, and general health check tasks for the All Electronic Tolling system on the Massachusetts Turnpike . Technicians are responsible to ensure that the system is functioning to its full potential 24/7.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all tolling equipment making sure it is performing to specifications.
  • Perform bi-annual preventive maintenance on all gantry equipment.
  • Perform weekly visits to each toll site and perform quick walkthrough inspections.
  • Diagnose/repair electronic and mechanical issues
  • Ensure compliance as required by client agreement and/or scope of work
  • Excellent Communication with Manager/Scheduling team/Operations team
 
Position Requirements

Desired Skills:

  • Read and understand schematics
  • Working knowledge of hand tools
  • Basic computing/Smartphone skills
  • Training capabilities
  • Analytical and problem- solving skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Organized self-starter
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in one of the related fields:
  1. Information Technology – Installation and Configuration
  2. Digital Signage – Installation and Configuration
  3. Audio / Video – Installation and Configuration
  4. Consumer Electronics
  5. 12-volt electrical systems – Installation and Configuration
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment
  • Superior communication and customer service skills both written and verbal
  • Maintain a professional image at client sites
  • Must have valid driver’s license

  • Walking, bending, lifting, repetitive motion
  • Use of hand tools and test equipment
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Possible overnight installations
  • Operation of a Bucket Truck on Highway closures.
