Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Jr. Estimator  Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Junior Estimator will be assisting the Sr Estimator in putting proposals for public and private construction projects, along with assembling complete bid packages and proposals to efficiently, successfully, and profitably obtain and complete assigned construction projects. This position reports to the Sr Estimator. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Develop estimates from various types of bid documents and specifications Ensure thorough and accurate quantity takeoffs. Thoroughly read plans and specifications and review for accurate scope of work and means & methods assessment. Visit proposed job sites (local\regional only) Attend pre-bid meetings Obtain owner sign-off on all bids before submittal Understand and be able to account for factors outside company control which will impact the final bid package Other duties as assigned   Position Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required Experience in the construction industry Highly developed written and verbal communication skills Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as on a team Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment High attention to details and time management skills   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Shift Days   Additional Information   Position Jr. Estimator   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Req Number OPE-23-00026   About the Organization RoadSafe Traffic Systems ('RoadSafe') is the largest provider of traffic control and pavement marking services in the United States.
