HNNCSB partners with both Hampton and Newport News General District Courts as part of separate dockets. BHDs are non-adversarial approaches by the judicial system, treatment providers, and other stakeholders addressing the needs of individuals with serious mental illness who have become involved in the criminal justice system. Through on-going support and supervision, the Court and Team assist individuals as they engage in services and address challenges to prevent further penetration within the criminal justice system.

The Behavioral Health Docket Therapist Iwill serve as the point of contact and provider of clinical services for participants for the Behavioral Health Docket and their families. The Behavioral Health Docket is designed to effectively treat and support individuals identified with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) who are in need of behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services or otherwise under Court order. The primary purpose of the Behavioral Health Docket Therapist I is to provide treatment services as well as provide timely assessment, resource linkage, and supportive services for participants with their service related needs.
