Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical and Cyber Engineer to support our Managed Services Division (MSD) in a remote/telework/work from home capacity.

 

Sawdey’s Managed Services Division (MSD) is a full-service Managed Service Provider (MSP)/Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) providing IT and/or cybersecurity services to a variety of different clients (defense/government contractors, municipalities, commercial organizations, etc.).

 

Description:

  • Mentoring and training technical team members.
  • Serving as the POC for Tier 1 and 2 technicians when complex technical issues and ticket escalations arise.
  • Assisting with the technical design and implementation required to achieve CMMC level 2/other compliance requirements.
  • Creating documentation, performing gap analysis, and developing planning materials.
  • Supporting business development activities (meet with prospects, draft and review proposals, establishing strategic partnerships, etc.).
  • Supporting Managed Services work and contracts inclusive of technical design and implementation, risk analysis, asset management, and network design.
  • Responsible for supporting Managed Services work/contracts inclusive of CMMC technical design and implementation, risk analysis, penetration testing, asset management, helpdesk support, ticket creation and response, network design, and overall client management.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Experience:

  • Nine (9) + years of IT related experience.
  • Four (4) + years’ experience working with networks, servers, and cloud-based systems.
  • Must have Tier 3 knowledge and capabilities. This includes being capable of working on cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS systems, server infrastructure, and networking infrastructure.

 

Must have experience working with at least some of the following:

  • Windows Server 2016-2022 and server roles such as Active Directory, DHCP, Group Policy, and DNS
  • VMware ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN
  • Windows 10
  • Office 365 Commercial, GCC, and GCC-High
  • Azure and Azure Government
  • Azure Sentinel
  • Zscaler
  • AvePoint
  • Duo
  • CrowdStrike
  • Firewalls - Sonicwall, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper
  • Wireless - Aruba, Cisco, Unifi
  • Switching - VLANs, QoS, LAGs, Jumbo Frames
  • Storage Systems - SAN, NAS
  • Vulnerability Scanning and Management
  • Configuration Management and Maintenance
  • IT and Compliance Documentation
  • Client, Project, and Ticket Management

 

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with technical implementation of NIST Frameworks such as NIST 800-53, 800-171, and CSF
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
  • Managed Services

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field desired.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • The following certifications are desired, but not required:
    • CISSP
    • CCNA
    • MCSE
    • CCSP
    • CCP

 

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation.

 

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a favorable background check.

 

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
