Bolton & Menk is now accepting internship applications for Survey Internship opportunities based out of our Burnsville location for summer 2023.
As a Survey Field Intern you will spend the majority of your time working on survey crews with an experienced crew chief. You will assist with boundary surveys, construction staking, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, and GPS data collection. The emphasis will be on construction staking and get experience with Trimble, Robotic Total Station, and GPS equipment in this internship. This position will require working outdoor conditions for the majority of your day. You must be physically able to navigate rugged terrain for the purpose of performing the duties described above. Students must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the firm's standard rates. A check of the candidate's motor vehicle record will be conducted as part of the on-boarding.
This position interacts with staff, land owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
What We Are Looking For:
Selected candidates will be enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technician, Land Surveying or Survey Technician Degree, or related field, from an accredited post-secondary institution. General coursework in, and completion of, general surveying and AutoCAD drafting are preferred.
Relocation and housing are not included.
