Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position serves primarily internal customers; however, responsibilities also include serving external customers whenever the opportunity presents itself.

This position does not involve direct day to day supervision of employees.

Confidentiality of customer information cannot be overstated. It is expected that all customer information be kept in the strictest confidence. We must do whatever it takes to ensure that our relationships with the public are not jeopardized.

The purpose of this position is to provide the accurate and efficient processing of all information and items that have been produced by the Operations Department, which includes the daily input totals for all departments in the general ledger and the printing of all reports required for the balancing of the bank as a whole. This position is also responsible for various duties within the Operations department, including wire transfers, and running multiple computer programs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Run daily checklist of mainframe programs to ensure computer systems and programs are updated and maintained
  • Tests, develops and runs programs, backups and print jobs as scheduled and assigned
  • Write instructions for financial institution users based on programmer’s documentation
  • Monitor operation of the computer systems according to current available instructions
  • Update and introduce efficient shortcuts and strategies when available
  • Perform minor computer maintenance and regular system backups
  • Monitor the mainframe utilization to ensure efficient storage capacity and effective memory utilization
  • Ensure printed reports generated by the computer system are accurate and efficiently distributed
  • Interfaces with outside vendors in the event of a system failure and reports downtimes
  • Establish and ensure the security of passwords for system operation
  • Checkback for Certificate of Deposits (COD), Savings Accounts (SAV) and Direct Deposit Accounts (DDA)
  • Mobile Capture Review
  • Complete wire transfers via Fedline
  • Assist with running the Branch Source Capture and balance when needed
  • Ensure backups for the position are properly and thoroughly trained
  • Attend required staff meetings
  • Follow security procedures
  • Abide by all policies, procedures, and expectations set forth in the Employee Manual or requested by management
