Description

Are you a natural leader with a passion for the events industry? Look no further than the exciting role of The Classic Center’s Manager on Duty, or MOD, a in Athens, GA! As the MOD, you will be the go-to person for all daily event activities and staffing needs, working closely with Event Planners to ensure the smooth setup and execution of every event. You'll have the opportunity to take a leading role in managing Shift Supervisors, Union Labor, temporary labor, Housekeeping, and building/equipment care.

But that's not all - you'll also be responsible for motivating your team of event setup professionals, while attending weekly Operations meetings to brainstorm innovative ideas for upcoming assignments, challenging clients, and maximizing profits.

As the Manager on Duty, you'll be the ultimate event guru during your assigned shifts, actively managing events and ensuring the safety of all guests and staff. You'll follow event instructions to a T, making sure that every aspect of the plan is executed flawlessly. This is your chance to showcase your leadership skills and passion for events, all while ensuring that every guest at the Classic Center has an unforgettable experience.

 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum two (2) years' experience in Operations with a multipurpose facility or three (3) years' experience in a comparable or related position.

2. Minimum high school education or equivalent. College degree preferred with emphasis on management and drafting or math. Additional years of experience may serve as substitute on basis of two (2) years' experience for one (1) year of college.

3. Ability to demonstrate competence in verbal communications and personal interactions.

4. Ability to demonstrate supervisory skill.
