Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Respond to resident requests in a timely and friendly manner.
  2. Maintain confidentiality with all resident information.
  3. Provide great customer service to our residents and visitors at all times.
  4. Treat all residents with respect.
  5. Gather all soiled wares as needed.
  6. Sanitize all pots, pans, equipment, dishware, glassware, flatware, and storage areas as directed by cooks and supervisors.
  7. Put away all clean wares.
  8. Follow safe food handling and sanitation techniques.
  9. Perform all side work and setup/breakdown duties as assigned.
  10. Assist in the repair and maintenance of the dining area and kitchen equipment.
  11. Assist with Dining Services delivery to residents.
  12. Assist with food preparation as needed including washing, cutting, preparing, and clean up.
  13. Receive and stock deliveries.
  14. Sweep and mop kitchen floor, walk-in refrigerator, and dry storage daily.
  15. Empty and line all trashcans in kitchen and dining area as needed.
  16. Follow safe food handling and sanitation practices.
  17. Follow all dining standards of service.
  18. Attends all meetings and in-services as requested by Director.
  19. Is observant and aware of any situations or occurrences in the community that may pose a safety hazard to residents or staff. Report such observation immediately to supervisor.
  20. Performs other duties as may from time to time be requested by Director.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must possess exemplary work ethics.
  2. Must be able to read, write, and speak English so as to understand and be understood by staff.
  3. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull minimum of 40 pounds.
  4. Must be able to move about the community quickly and be able to physically assist residents and/or staff in event of an emergency.
  5. High school diploma or equivalent. Must successfully acquire food handling certificates in accordance to regulatory agencies.
  6. Must be able to work all shifts as required.
  7. Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold, (0° F – 120 F)
