A Clinical Social Worker professionally applies social work methods and theory to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of psychosocial dysfunction, impairment, or disability, including mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders for individuals and groups. The main responsibility of a Clinical Social Worker is to screen medical records, conduct interviews and complete a variety of assessments and treatment plans, set treatment goals based on the consumers individualized needs and conduct group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based models and practices.
