Description

Job Summary:

VSolvit LLC is seeking a SharePoint Solutions Engineer to support strategies, plans, processes and procedures regarding SharePoint solution development and sustainment in both Non-classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router (NIPR) (SharePoint Online via Operation Flank Speed) and Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) (SharePoint 2016) environments. The person in this role will work directly with the Navy SharePoint users to enhance business capabilities by working to understand submitted requests for support, gathering requirements, identifying and mitigating potential risks, developing innovative solutions, and providing adequate sustainment support and documentation as required. 

This role includes administrative, operational, maintenance, and sustainment support of existing SharePoint tools as well as requirements gathering and development support for new ones.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support through the development of innovative Microsoft SharePoint solutions for a DoD client
  • Support the identification, development, maintenance, and enhancement of NIPR and SIPR business tools submitted through support requests using out-of-the-box SharePoint features. 
  • Mitigate any SharePoint customer issues by providing advanced troubleshooting support as required
  • Create dynamic workflows in both NIPR and SIPR environments to automate business processes where necessary to improve command efficiencies
  • Create and manage custom permissions across all new SharePoint features, to include lists, libraries, sites, web parts, and more while mitigating any permission issues identified in existing features
  • Perform daily data ingestion duties by extracting information from authoritative external sources, processing it through the required Access Databases, and pushing updates to SharePoint lists, libraries, and other platforms as needed
  • Perform data validation duties to confirm SharePoint solutions are processing information properly and delivering accurate outputs consistent with reports provided by authoritative sources
  • Attend weekly meetings to adjudicate new business tool submissions, discuss development strategies, and provide status updates on existing submissions
 
Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with creating, maintaining, and customizing sites, lists, libraries, web parts, and pages in Microsoft SharePoint 2016 and/or SharePoint Online 3+ years of experience managing Microsoft SharePoint Groups, Users, Roles, permissions inheritance, and resolving common permission-related issues 
  • 1+ years of experience with requirements gathering, solution creation, tool development, capability testing, customer delivery, and sustainment documentation creation
  • Ability to problem solve and creatively develop innovative SharePoint solutions utilizing out-of-box (OOB) capabilities and features
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate through briefings and other written documents
  • Must be detail oriented and self-motivated to deliver solutions on time with minimal supervision
  • Must have Interim Secret or final Secret security clearance
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience with SharePoint Online solution capabilities of Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
  • 1+ years of experience with creating and modifying complex SharePoint and Power Automate workflows 
  • Navy Flank Speed Access
  • Experience with JIRA or other ticketing system 
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies  
  • Understanding of Naval Force structure 
  • B.S. or B.A. Degree
