Position Summary:

As a Director of Operations, this position is primarily responsible for managing and oversee the branch operations the crews and equipment in the geographic area.

 

The Role:

Director of Operations will lead and influence our organization towards favorable growth, and to design and direct strategies that support and enhance overall organizational growth.

The ideal candidate for this position must possess a strong entrepreneurial drive, outstanding communication skills, strong leadership qualities, and excellent organizational skills.

They should have a proven track record of streamlining organizational efforts, directing operational budgets, improving overall revenue, and directing business strategy with internal stakeholders, staff, and surrounding communities.

 

 
Position Requirements

 

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lead Branches in remote locations in order to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Excellent communications skills including ability to directly and professionally interact with the Branches and customers as a representative of RoadSafe
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and successfully exercise independent judgment and authority
  • Understand the labor needs of the area and provides guidance and being cost effective
  • Assists Branches in plans and schedules projects in a cost effective and efficient manner
  • Assess abilities of employees in the geographic area and helps the Branch Manager with headcount
  • Guide the area in safety and other compliance aspects of the work being performed, including DOT compliance, safety compliance and other necessary training of employees
  • Develop branch managers in all areas of business, including P&L, forecasting, workforce planning, and safety
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Will be required to travel on an as needed basis

  • Ability to represent RoadSafe in a professional manner when interacting with customers and agencies regarding scheduling, disputes, changes in scope of work, etc.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of state specifications for devices and materials in states where assigned branches are located
  • Industry involvement through trade associations, coalitions with state DOT, or similar.
  • Highly experienced in MS Excel and Word
  • Understanding of financial statements including balance sheet and profit & loss statement

 

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years supervisory or management experience
