Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
Adult Comprehensive Outpatient Services offers a wide array of outpatient mental health services. Our dedicated and professional staff include Licensed Therapists, Psychologist, Nurse Practitioner, Adult Board Certified Psychiatrists, Gerontologist, Peer Support Specialist as well as an array of Nursing supports. ACOS staff is committed to working with people throughout their lifespan in times of severe challenges as well as through the stressors of daily living. Additionally, staff remain sensitive to all sexual orientations, gender identities and cultural values.
Performs a variety of functions including typing, dictation, transcription, receptionists and phone duties, appointment scheduling, record keeping, and related administrative tasks. The work may be characterized by interaction with program clients, care givers, and other service providers.

Requirements: High School Diploma supplemented by business school courses and at least one (1) year secretarial experience, including public contact work.
As a condition of employment with Hampton – Newport News CSB, you are required to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID 19 or fit within an exemption under the law.
