Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.  

The Manager has overall responsibility of the Children’s Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center (CBHUCC) to include designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating CBHUCC services; coordinating all child and adolescent clinical evaluations; handling grant reporting requirements; developing referral sources; and maintaining excellent customer service. This position manages the daily operations of the CBHUCC which operates 24 hours a day 7 days per week. This program provides crisis assessment, intervention, stabilization and discharge planning activities in response to a variety of behavioral health crises for community crisis response in Health Planning Region V. Day to day operations include coordination of client care, supervision of a hospital-based professional team, administrative and budget management and daily problem-solving. Additional responsibilities include management of program evaluation activities for H-NNCSB administration and Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services representatives.

Requirements:   Virginia licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor and a minimum of four (4) years experience in a clinical setting working with emotionally troubled children and affected families to include extensive experience performing comprehensive clinical evaluations and therapy.

The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
