Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Spirit Guide (Bartender)  Link for Job Description in PDF   Location Carriqui   Description The Spirit Guide (Bartender) delivers food and beverage orders to guests according to Carriqui's specifications and standards, courteously and efficiently. S/he will assist in the maintenance of the bar/restaurant areas and equipment as well as be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient billing of guest charges and maintaining bar stocks and par levels. Essential Functions Maintain complete knowledge and descriptions of: all menu items, alcohol brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available on our list. maintenance and use of equipment, designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method and garnishes for each drink. state liquor regulations Responsible for the set-up, maintenance (stocking & cleaning), and operation of the bar, including making liquor drinks and serving guests in a timely manner. Ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Ensure that bank is always secure. Complete opening and closing duties Input orders into system and ensure transmission of food orders is verified by kitchen. Prepare all drink orders for guests according to the restaurant's trained recipes. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of bar top, tables, service areas and outlet itself. Direct and assist Barbacks and Experience Makers in their job functions to ensure smooth and efficient service to guests. Make safety concerns a priority. Any spills, broken glass, or other unsafe conditions must take priority over other duties. An expectation of hybrid participation, in both the Hospitality and Culinary teams. 50% of your time is to be spent on guest service interaction.   Position Requirements Required Skills and Abilities Ability to multitask at a high level without compromising service. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team Must be able to work well under pressure Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers Suggestive/upselling techniques Communication skills (verbal and written) Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum (2) two years of previous experience in a high-volume environment. Previous bartending experience preferred. Ability to obtain food handler certification and TABC certification. At least 21 years of age. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing and working of 8 hours or more. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time. Benefits PTO (paid-time-off) after 30 days of employment, pro-rated based on the actual hire date. In addition, the company will match 100% of the first 3% contributed and then 50% of the next 2% contributed by you. The company match is fully vested when contributed.
