Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

What You Will be Doing
We want people to join our team who share our values of love, excellence, respect, empowerment, and well-being. The ideal candidate will be to provide day treatment and center-based treatment services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and behavioral health. The Center-Based therapist will work directly with individuals to complete assessments, develop crisis plans and treatment plans, and provide group and individual therapy and case management services to a small caseload within the ABA Center program. The Center-Based therapist will also monitor educational and behavioral health goals, and ensure treatment is implemented with fidelity and documented accurately by Qualified Behavioral Health Specialists. The Center-Based therapist will attend regular meetings with Intervention Specialists, Behavior Analysts, Clinic Director, and other team members. Clinical supervision is provided weekly by a LISW-S.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure fidelity of educational and behavioral health treatment implementation and documentation.
  • Develops a comprehensive social history and psychosocial assessment that includes the client’s problems, strengths, and preferences, including cultural, religious, and ethnic background and implications for the care plan.
  • Orient clients and families to the program, its services, service limitations, and clients’ rights.
  • Providing parent education and training groups
  • Provide day treatment, individual/family/group therapy, and case management services to address individualized treatment needs.
  • Provides clients and families with crisis management services, including conducting crisis/risk assessments, as needed.
  • Involves clients and families in treatment planning, encouraging their attendance at care conferences or with outside providers/professionals.
  • Attends scheduled care conferences and identifies and interprets psychosocial needs of clients for inclusion in the care plan.
  • Completes mandatory documentation within timelines established by applicable regulations and policies.
  • Provides linkage with appropriate community resources by maintaining knowledge of other systems, making referrals, and identifying unmet needs (e.g., recreational, transportation, healthy/safety, employment, etc.)
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to support clients and coordinate care.
  • Develop a comprehensive discharge plan in collaboration with clients, client’s families, multidisciplinary staff, and referral agencies.
  • Train and consult with staff regarding psychosocial needs that encompass mental health, development, and diversity of individual clients to increase staff knowledge and skills.
  • Develop the treatment plan in conjunction with the Behavior Analyst and other clinical team members; ensure implementation and documentation of services and progress is completed.
  • Facilitate group instruction and interventions consistent with individual’s behavioral health and educational goals.
  • Collect and analyze data and records of service accurately following Boundless procedures.
  • Organize, prepare teaching and treatment materials, and maintain a clean instructional area.
  • Maintain designated individuals’ data collection methods, documents, records, and materials related to treatment and educational plans. Assist in monitoring goal progression. Identifies and documents when interventions are needed for specific goals due to lack of progression.
  • Assist in maintaining files for compliance in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal standards; report unusual incidents and communicate unusual medical situations as required.
  • Perform first aid and other procedures as trained and designated.
  • Seek, receive, and apply feedback appropriately and professionally, and work towards goals developed with supervisors.
  • Communicate by both hearing and speaking in a professional manner with coworkers, outside professionals, and parents, and use professional language when describing the individual and/or behaviors.
  • Within 60 days of hire, successful completion, and maintenance of the required physical crisis management training(s) and certification(s) applicable to the assigned program.
  • Advocate on a case, policy, and program level.
  • Meet monthly requirements for billable hours as established by the department.
  • Provide clinical review and audit of clients’ charts and documentation to ensure compliance and support quality improvement.
  • Responsible for reading and following the employee handbook and all Boundless policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for completing and following all training assigned.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and professional development activities as required.
  • All other assigned duties.

Minimum Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field.

Preferred Education/Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work or related field.
  • Two or more years of experience working with individuals with behavioral health conditions, autism spectrum disorders, and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance.
  • No more than 5 points on the license.

Required Licensure/Certification

  • Licensed through the State of Ohio as an LSW/LPC/LISW/LPCC.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR – adult, child, and infant. (Training will be provided, it not already certified).

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with individuals, staff, and support agencies.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset, and at times hostile clients/family members.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Play therapy experience preferred.
  • Crisis and de-escalation experience.
