Email Opening Title Bursar Technician  Description Manage student accounts by receipting funds to include tuition and fees, set up and manage payment plans as well as various sponsorships. Bursar Technicians assigned to a campus may facilitate bookstore sales for that campus. Essential Functions Monitor student accounts, receive and post payment transactions, and issue cash refunds to ensure accuracy and timeliness of the accounts. Perform established procedures for receipt and deposit of District funds in accordance with District policy. Handle cash in accordance with policy and procedures. Provide counsel and assistance to students regarding their accounts. Research and respond to student account issues and concerns and resolve problems as they arise. Manage sponsorships, including financial aid, in relation to student accounts. Prepare and make daily deposits with correct supporting documentation. Communicate in person, online and by phone with students, faculty, staff and the public regarding the collection of monies. Perform various record keeping, data entry and reporting processes, as required, to maintain accuracy of finances for the District. Bursar Technicians assigned to a campus may facilitate bookstore sales, maintain bookstore inventory, unload books, stock shelves and perform other duties related to bookstore operations. Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.   Position Requirements Transportation and flexibility to report, on an as needed basis, to different campus locations within the District is required.  Campus locations include Owasso, Broken Arrow, Peoria, Riverside, Lemley and Sand Springs. This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of bookkeeping experience. Student Accounting experience is preferred. Special Skills, Knowledge or Abilities Advanced computer software skills Ability to work on several assignments simultaneously Must be available to work one evening a week.
