For more information please visit www.astrazeneca.com .   Description Location: Waltham, MA We are currently seeking undergraduate students working towards a degree in Biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.   Objectives/Goals of the Position: Gain practical, bench-based drug discovery experience in a pharmaceutical setting  Learn cutting-edge research in cancer drug development  Primary Duties: Design and performing a variety of molecular and cellular biology experiments including cell culture, western blot, RT-PCT, CRISPR-based gene editing, etc.   Maintain multiple cancer cell lines to support research activities  Test drug candidates using biochemical and cell based assays  Collect and analyze experimental results; Record experimental procedures and scientific findings in lab notebook  Summarize and present frequent updates at project team meeting    Position Requirements Position Requirements: Undergraduate student working towards a degree in Biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field Must have completed advanced biology and biochemistry courses Knowledge of basic biology techniques (e.g. cell culture, PCR, Western Blot, etc.) is preferred, but not required Strong enthusiasm and work ethics; Excellent communication and organization skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and GraphPad Prism preferred Strong desired to pursue a scientific career in the future Minimum grade point average of 3.0     Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Location Waltham, MA   This position is currently not accepting applications.
