We are currently seeking undergraduate students working towards a degree in Biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.


Objectives/Goals of the Position:

  • Gain practical, bench-based drug discovery experience in a pharmaceutical setting 
  • Learn cutting-edge research in cancer drug development 

Primary Duties:

  • Design and performing a variety of molecular and cellular biology experiments including cell culture, western blot, RT-PCT, CRISPR-based gene editing, etc.  
  • Maintain multiple cancer cell lines to support research activities 
  • Test drug candidates using biochemical and cell based assays 
  • Collect and analyze experimental results; Record experimental procedures and scientific findings in lab notebook 
  • Summarize and present frequent updates at project team meeting 
Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Undergraduate student working towards a degree in Biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field
  • Must have completed advanced biology and biochemistry courses
  • Knowledge of basic biology techniques (e.g. cell culture, PCR, Western Blot, etc.) is preferred, but not required
  • Strong enthusiasm and work ethics; Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and GraphPad Prism preferred
  • Strong desired to pursue a scientific career in the future
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0
