In this role, you will be responsible for managing engagement and community outreach efforts on moderate to advanced engineering and planning projects ranging from studies, planning, construction, and other industry-related efforts. You will also assist with managing team workload, aid in proposals, and build client relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop and lead outreach efforts for planning, landscape architecture, and transportation projects.
- Lead public engagement planning and development of engagement tools, including content development and coordination of production.
- Develop process and product improvement initiatives.
- Provide project management oversight for initiatives.
- Assist in business development strategies for services and works with marketing staff on strategies and proposal content.
- Plan and attends public meetings and events.
- Travel to facilities and other projected related locations as necessary.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field from an accredited College or University
- 5 or more years’ experience in writing marketing communications such as press releases, newsletters, infographics, email, website content, and social media preferred.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong graphic design capabilities and advanced skills with Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign).
- Full understanding of engineering, construction, and planning industry, knowledge of marketing/client databases, and knowledge of proposal processes.
- Strong skills in client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service, and evaluation of client satisfaction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent composition, grammar and proofreading skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Possess a valid driver’s license as travel to various job sites may be required.
