For more information please visit www.astrazeneca.com .   Description Location: Gaithersburg, MD   We are currently seeking a rising undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior student working towards a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.   Objectives/Goals of the Position: The objective of this position is to develop a protein precipitation procedure for PS80 determination in regards to:   Capacity to expand method applicability to projects with protein precipitation step  Reduce potential loss of PS80 during precipitation   Improve utilization of PS80 ELSD method for possible stability indicating propensities    Help to quantitate PS80 and protein interaction rate     Primary Duties: Prepare samples using combinations of the items explained above (different pH’s, reagents, heating, mixing, molecule types) and set up sequences on the Waters Agilent LC instrument  Process the collected data  Thoroughly document the experiments and summarize the results    Position Requirements Position Requirements: The applicant should have a general understanding of analytical methods used for biologics and have good documentation and presentations skills.
