To maximize this growth, we are seeking an email marketing enthusiast to help us grow and nurture our niche communities of industry professionals.

As an Audience Development Coordinator, you will manage all aspects of our automated and batch email campaigns, including but not limited to subscriber acquisition, onboarding, segmentation, reactivation, and repermissioning.Reporting to the Director of Audience Engagement and working closely with cross-functional teams, the Audience Development Coordinator will write persuasive copy for email (subject lines, preheaders, headlines, body text, calls to action, etc.), web (subscription landing pages, popups/promos, etc.), and social media posts

What you will do in this role:

  • Create and update emails and templates in our no-code, drag-and-drop email builder.
  • Conduct preflight QA and testing of emails for punctuation/grammar, rendering, and deliverability.
  • Set up, deploy, and oversee emails and triggered campaign flows in our marketing automation platform.
  • Execute social media campaigns to grow online communities and drive subscriptions.
  • Collaborate with market groups to develop audience acquisition, newsletter segmentation, community engagement/reengagement, and related plans.
  • Project manage content development, landing page creation, segmented newsletter launches, and other market-specific initiatives by collaborating across editorial, marketing, operations and other departments.
  • Regularly test, track, and report on variations of email messages and campaigns, including subject lines, content, layout, timing, etc.
  • Measure and analyze results of emails and campaigns and adjust for improvement.
  • Create campaign, audience acquisition, engagement, and other reports for distribution to market groups and other company stakeholders.
  • Monitor email and social marketing industry trends and best practices.
  • Identify new approaches to attract new subscribers and engage existing subscribers via email, our websites, and other channels.
 
Position Requirements

What experience and skills you will need:

  • 2+ years work experience in email marketing, copywriting, audience development, or digital publishing
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills
  • Experience using email marketing software (ESP), marketing automation technology, and web analytics
  • Proven ability to drive audience/customer demand, growth, and engagement
  • Basic knowledge of email marketing best practices
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for testing and measuring results
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
  • Strong collaboration skills (across departments)

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • B2B marketing, publishing, or related experience
  • Social media marketing (paid and organic) experience
  • Knowledge of SEO tactics (paid and organic)
  • Marketo experience
  • HTML experience
  • Proficiency in SQL or related database querying language
