Summary

Supports processes and conducts activities that are vital to the sales leadership team that exceeds the learning and performance needs of the Sales organization.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analytics that support the development of the Sales Revenue Plan (In Total, Sales Group, Customer Data, Product Segmentation, etc…)
  • Reporting and analytics that support the development of the Sales OPEX Budget, including Business Plan and Rolling Financial Forecast (RFF) for Revenue & OPEX. Supports the strategic and budgetary processes for the sales organization; develops recommendations for operational budgets as well as sales forecasts by customer segment for sales management. Extensive communication and coordination will be required within all areas of the business
  • Implements predictive analytics to forecast sales results, providing management with the information and time required to make any necessary changes.
  • Analytics and reporting that supports the Sales Quota Setting Process. Develops recommendations of territory quotas for sales management for review and approval. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of the quota system.
  • Support and analytics of the Rep Compensation Processing (commissions, bonus & expense reimbursement) including both goal setting and payment aspects. Ensures the administration of the sales incentive compensation plan as well as reporting changes in compensation costs compared to sales results, and rep behavioral changes impacting compensation to sales management.
  • Produces the necessary supporting analytics for the sales management team to evaluate, prioritize and determine the effectiveness of the strategic market and competitive initiatives.
  • Producing the monthly Strategy Deployment package. Participate in the monthly policy deployment process by producing the insights discovered through analytics and assembling those insights into a consistent message.
  • Support and maintenance of the Sales Call Management System & Sales Reporting process
  • Analyze requests through proprietary software. Ability to pull information from various resources, most importantly Syspro, CRM, and other internal database sources.
  • Assist in the publication of sales operations policies and procedures.
  • Work with sales representatives to identify opportunities for improvement and attend sales meetings where appropriate.
  • Other ad-hoc analyses and special assignments as required

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university; and a minimum of two to three years of experience in Finance or Accounting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strategic Skills

Ability to determine opportunities and threats through comprehensive analytics of historical and future trends. Ability to create value through analytics, develop a consistent and flowing message from the insights gained from analytics.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software; Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint Focus).

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as financial reports, sales data, and market analysis. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
