Share Email Opening Title Certified Surgical Technologist or RN (Surgical Services), FT, Day Shift  Location Joint Township District Memorial Hospital   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Working Shift Day Shift   Hours Per Week 36   Description Practices Joint Township District Memorial Hospital's Professional Practice and Caring Model Principles. Is responsible for performing scrub duties and related procedures. Places the patient at the center of care. Collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes. May be required to work variable shifts and participate in on-call activities. Performs other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements Licensure/Education: Current Ohio license to practice professional nursing, or current certificaton for CST RN: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred, CNOR preferred CST: Graduate of an acredited program for Surgical Technology BLS ( ACLS, PALS, or must obtain within 12 months of hire for RN) Experience/Skills: 2 years previous OR experience preferred. Must have the ability to follow strict protocols and AORN standards with attention to detail. Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced setting. Demonstrates excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Displays ability to work effectively within a team environment. Physical Demands: the position requires a full range of body motion including lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, sitting and standing. Must be able to stand for extensive periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. Must have eye/hand coordination with the ability to grasp, push, pull, and finger dexterity with fine manipulation. Requires corrected vision and hearing in the normal range.
