As Director of Infrastructure and Security at Brownells/2nd Adventure Group, you will lead, create and align the operational and engineering aspects of IT Infrastructure, Network, Telecommunications, and Information Security with the strategic direction of the 2nd Adventure Group of companies. You will be responsible for companywide systems and the effectiveness, efficiency, and security of those systems. In addition, you will lead the Infrastructure team, which includes IT Engineering, Cyber Security, Network Administration, Service Desk, and App Operations. Finally, you will be responsible for IT Change Management, IT Asset Management, IT Service Management, IT Vendor Management, and all related 3rd-party vendor contracts and management.

What You Will Do

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall enterprise infrastructure, IT operations and security
  • Works with internal departments to identify opportunities to improve and refine services to meet their needs
  • Oversees evaluation of IT systems via RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes in partnership with IT Architecture
  • Responsible for ensuring detailed and accurate documentation of all IT Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Network, Service Desk, and Information Security procedures
  • Assists with identification and development of IT and Information Security requirements for assigned technology domains
  • Sets IT security policy for Brownells group of companies consistent with business objectives and requirements
  • Oversees implementation and operation of the cyber security program, including risk assessment, risk registry, and IT security incident response
  • Overall responsibility for Information Security compliance
  • Develops and implements disaster recovery programs for the assigned technologies
  • Develops and publishes SLAs for relevant technologies and services
  • Ensures that all Brownells infrastructure can be recovered within published SLA
  • Develops plans to ensure Brownells’ long-term voice and data communications needs are identified and met

 

Other Duties & Responsibilities

  • Chooses and manages third-party partners when appropriate to implement overall strategy
  • Plans and schedules distribution and installation of all software/hardware updates and upgrades
  • Provides professional IT leadership and effectively communicates relevant IT information and strategies to the organization and shareholders
  • Creates and implements succession planning
  • Leads major systemic changes to the IT, Network, Service Desk, Telecommunications, and Information Security systems
  • Champions change and effectively manages the implementation of new ideas
  • Responsible for professional development of the IT employees within reporting organization

 

What You Will Need

Education & Experience

  • BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • Ten plus years of progressive leadership experience in functional area positions
  • Specialized training in functional area
  • Experience at an advanced level in systems architecture
  • Experience aligning department objectives to company objectives
  • Knowledge of and experience with relevant existing software and telecommunications systems
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Experience leading change

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong product knowledge of peripherals, firewall configuration and administration, VMware,
  • Windows Server Solutions and current version of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent Project Management skills
  • Information Security

 

Physical Demands

Sedentary work. Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.
