Description

The ECN Analyst shall participate in the creation and maintenance of product engineering drawings, software, and specifications through the engineering product development cycle. The ECN Analyst shall provide co-ordination and validation of engineering documentation release (ECO) packages. 

Position reports to the Engineering Services Manager.  The ECN Analyst works under the direction of the Engineering Services Manager and in co-ordination with other change analysts within the group.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare, co-ordinate, and validate engineering documentation packages for transfer to document control.
  • Provide control and accountability of all engineering S/w and H/w systems in support of Morpho Detection, Inc. products.
  • Enforcement of standards as they pertain to Engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Implementation of configuration management activities in regards to identification, control, status accounting, and audits; including physical and functional configuration audits (PCA/FCA).
  • Co-ordinate the development and control of system and segment level specifications and interfaces as they pertain to engineering.
  • Co-ordinate new product introduction (NPI) meetings with manufacturing and field services. Ensure proper transfer of all engineering requirements.
  • Provide configuration management leadership by driving the engineering change proposal process to be more efficient and taking ownership for making turnaround time improvements.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:

  •  Must have a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years experience in product configuration management. Engineering changes, creation, control environment and experience in configuration management for product development required.
  • Must have knowledge of commercial, FAA/TSA, ANSI, and/or DoD documentation standards.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to work out of an office in Newark, CA

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Candidate must be able to receive and act upon assignments in the form of objectives, written tasks, and verbal instructions.
  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work closely with product development engineers, manufacturing, and field support personnel.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-973 and other CM related standards a plus.
