Description

SAL Community Services (SAL), home to Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, is the Quad Cities area’s leading provider of early childhood care and education and now includes the Prevention Initiative (PI) program. We provide a safe, secure and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for.

SAL is seeking a PI Supervisor to assist the Prevention Initiative Program Director in the administration of programs and services. This means you’ll do things like:

  • Work with parents/guardians to facilitate identifying their individual and family strengths and needs.
  • Conduct home visits which focus on parent-child interactions, developmental topics, and family well-being.
  • Develop family-centered service plans, goals, and objective for children and families based on the Prevention Initiative curriculum and complete all necessary assessments.
  • Participate in family activities.
  • Implement the program curriculum and facilitate all training on curriculum.
  • Conduct on-going assessment and evaluation of the program environment to ensure it provides appropriate support of program goals.
  • Provide leadership, oversight, coaching and mentoring to team of Parent Educators and Mental Health Specialist.

Qualifications:

Must obtain background clearances, be fully-vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine, be able to complete physical tasks such as sit, stand, lift 10 pounds, have at least one year of experience, and have an Associate's Degree in ECE, Elementary Education, or related field.
