Job Summary

The Video Production Intern is responsible for assisting with video producers and other creative personnel to fulfill the department’s video & motion-driven needs.

Responsibilities

Primary:

  1. Maintain, ingest, log, document, archive content and various other duties.
  2. Help conceptualize and build new ideas and concepts for Pittsburgh Pirates creative content.
  3. Assist in writing, producing, and editing content including but not limited to interview segments, highlight reels, commercials, social media videos, sponsorship content and in-game features.
  4. Assist as videographer and production assistant for variety of shoots.
  5. Assist in setup and break down of on and off-site video productions.
  6. Always represent the Pittsburgh Pirates in a positive and professional manner.
  7. All other duties as assigned by Director, Story & Production.
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  1. Degree-Seeking Program at Junior, Senior or Graduate level, majoring in Marketing, Communications, Photography, or a related field.
  2. Must be available for the entire duration of the internship (March – end of Pirates baseball season).
  3. Knowledge of non-linear editing systems required; Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
  4. Experience with professional cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  5. Strong eye for detail with the ability to multi-task while producing accurate, high-quality content within specified deadlines.
  6. Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to correctly use punctuation and grammar; Must have a strong attention to detail.
  7. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Desired:

  1. Knowledge of baseball is preferred.
  2. Graphic and motion design skills a plus (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  3. Audio editing and mastering skills a plus.
  4. Working in a live production environment.
