Share Email Opening Title Event Coordinator - Design  Location Bold Catering & Design - Design   Description You: At this point in time in your career, you have worked in events for a few years and are trying to hone your craft. The Event Coordinator (EC) is responsible for expediting the timely and accurate flow of information between Sales and Operations. This position will support the design department. The Event Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating all logistical aspects for every event, including venue set up, vendor timeline, equipment rentals props and décor associated with event design. This position requires excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills. It requires considerable conscientiousness, accountability, and professionalism. The EC must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors and co-workers while consistently demonstrating a high degree of stress tolerance The Event Coordinator is expected to act as a role model and ambassador for Bold Catering & Design, its employees, investors and partners, by working and living in accordance with the values, purpose and mission of Fifth Group Restaurants. Regular operating hours for Bold Catering & Design are 9:00am to 5:30pm. However, this is an event based position requiring flexible hours and days (nights & weekends) due to the nature of the event industry. Most of our full time team members still only work 5 days a week. Often 1-2 off days being during the week dependent on event schdules. Sales Responsible for contracting and management of vendor rentals and services, including floral, linens, props, service ware entertainment etc Negotiate discounts and best prices with assistance from the Director of Sales & Designers Confirming all vendor orders Establish timelines for all vendor deliveries and pick-ups including site specific load-in and load-out directions Contact person for clients for all detailed events Maintenance and updating of vendor files Approve and submit check requests and final invoices to Accounting Responsible for submitting weekly and period priorities to a supervisor Operations Responsible for directing event set-up at detailed events resulting in 100% client satisfaction, including arrival prior to event set-up. Work as a team player supporting Event Managers and Design Team assuring a successful event Timely and accurate preparation and distribution of notes/details for every event Timely and accurate preparation and distribution of room diagrams for event set-ups & pulls Timely and accurate preparation and distribution of location directions, including site specific notes Timely and accurate reporting of all event changes Assist in evolving and driving BAE image, look and feel and communicate ideas for design improvements Develop and maintain Bold standards of design Participation in semi-annual brainstorming meetings in accordance with business planning, including all information gathering Responsible for training event managers with regard to décor/set-up in accordance with Bold standards and client expectations Shared Responsibilities Timely and effective coordination of all site tours Effective communication of all relative information between Sales and Operations Attend scheduled EC, BEO, Sales, Operations. and FGR meetings Weekly review of successes and opportunities of each event   About the Organization Consider a career with Fifth Group Restaurants or Bold Catering & Design companies with more than 25 years of experience working with the finest and most successful people in Atlanta's hospitality industry.
