Description

The Assistant Director of Sales - is a mature and trusted member of the Bold Management Team. They are expected to act as a role model on behalf of FGR and its owners in accordance with the values, purpose and mission of the company, while driving Bold Catering & Design to become Atlanta's premier catering & design company.

Reporting Structure

The Assistant Director of Sales reports directly to the Director of Sales of Fifth Group Restaurants Group Dining Division and Bold Catering & Design, and assists in overseeing applicable functions of the Group Dining & Catering Sales divisions.

Responsibilities Bold Catering Division:

Sales & Systems Management

  • Responsible for the continued development of Social Sales Managers by successfully planning and executing individual one on one meetings while assisting them successfully meet their goals and targets.
  • Responsible for assisting in the execution of annual written performance reviews of Social Sales Managers.
  • Responsible for overseeing and updating training module for Sales Managers and Sales Assistant positions.
  • Responsible for maintaining venue information updated in catering & design archives.
  • Responsible for up keeping all food and beverage menus current in all Bold Systems.
  • Responsible for competitive food and beverage analysis.
  • Responsible for working with Director of Sales in assisting with activation and documentation of all Catering Systems & Customer Service SOP's.
  • Responsible for managing gifting program and sales collateral.
  • Assist on events as needed to ensure successful customer service expectations.
  • Assist with Sales activities, book, detail and service events as needed based on staffing fluctuation.
  • Responsible for attaining all cross-company and cross-department referral goals.
  • Comp Shops
  • Tasting Protocols

Operations interfacing

  • Collaborate effectively with Operations and Sales Managers to ensure consistently well executed events based on company communication documents.
  • Responsible for booking yield management, blackout dates (between Sales and Ops departments) and ensuring event minimums/pricing guidelines are being followed for all dates related to Social Sales Managers.
  • Responsible for overseeing that labor and menu costs are properly charged on BEO's of All Sales Managers.

Responsibilities Fifth Group Restaurants Group Dining Division:

  • Responsible for interviewing, onboarding and training of Group Dining Sales Managers.
  • Responsible for assisting the Sales Managers meeting specifically identified sales related goals and targets and promote business development.
  • Responsible for contributing and participating with the Director of Sales on the execution of annual written performance reviews, including developing goals, for all sales managers.
  • Responsible for the continued development of all Sales Managers by successfully planning and executing individual meetings with new Sales Managers and Sales Managers that are not consistently meeting sales goals and targets.
  • Complete commitment to good management practices by fulfilling business plan objectives by having weekly, period and quarterly priority planning within a structured time management system.
  • Effective cross functional collaboration with operations, FGR support, directors, managers, and restaurants.
  • Develop strategic relationships with competitors to generate referral business.
  • Responsible for reporting on all production and sales forecasting, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and other information requested to the Director of Sales.
  • Keep current on industry trends. Evaluate competition on a bi-annual basis through site inspections, menu pricing etc.
  • Keep respective General Managers and Chefs informed with timely detailed event contracts, accurate and updated information and clear communication lines.
  • Responsible for supporting Group Dining Sales Managers on daily tasks related to Bold, FGR clients and Operations team.
  • Responsible for thorough review of Group Dining Sales Managers commissions.
  • Responsible for weekly Recon, Gross Profit Sheets
  • Responsible for Accounts receivable

Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Requirements

  • Competent in all aspects of the sales process
  • Understanding the company’s identity and Brand
  • Payments and collections
  • Managing administrative tasks efficiently
  • Strong Computer skills including, database management, word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel), PowerPoint, programs; preferred experience with a Catering Event software
  • Strong, people and relationship development skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening skills
