Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Program Supervisor for Employment Resource Center  Category Employment Resource Center - Warehouse   Description SUMMARY Under the direction of the Program Manager for ERC, the Program Supervisor for ERC will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Employment Resource Center programs.  This position will manage the provision of services, program elements, and an environment that promotes safety and maximizes the functional abilities and the well-being of individuals served. Reinforce and positively engage in Opportunity Village’s organizational culture supporting choice and creativity of clients and of staff.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Report suspected Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation (ANE) within 24 hours or as mandated by state law. Provide an environment that promotes safety and well-being for individuals served, staff and volunteers including, staffing ratios, supplies, equipment, general cleanliness and facility maintenance. Assist in orientation, staff development and training. Provide necessary coaching, supervision, and corrective action as needed.  Assist for program operating in a cost-effective manner within budgetary guidelines, (i.e., accuracy of individual enrollment, attendance, billing, supply ordering and management). Review and monitor client and staff payroll. Conduct compliance of individuals’ documentation (i.e. quarterly reports, ID notes, individual/family communications, Person Centered Plans, all data tracking documentation, as well as volunteer hours and consent forms). Ensure staff participation, in goal-specific activities, and documentation of individuals’ progress towards individual goals. Collaborate and coordinate care with other direct care professionals, including nursing and care coordination staff Assist in compliance with Federal and State regulations, and Opportunity Village policies and procedures. Actively participates in community networking, public education, and individual advocacy. Conduct client abuse, isolation, neglect and exploitation investigations. Performs other duties as assigned.   SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will supervise the following: Activity Coordinator Staff for ERC Senior Activity Coordinator Staff for ERC Lead Activities Coordinator Staff for ERC Receptionist(s)       Position Requirements SKILLS REQUIRED Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, co-workers and supervisors (verbal and written) Ability to care, respond and work with individuals with developmental disabilities. Must possess social discernment to assess and understand other’s reactions and behaviors. Must encompass a professional demeanor. Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret instructions, gain knowledge and have initiative. Computer literate Ability to fill out all required documentation (i.e. ID Notes and Incident Reports)   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or Health Care field with one (1) year of verifiable work experience in a management role in the Human Services or Health Care field or a High School Diploma or equivalent with six months in a leadership role in Human Service or Health Care Field or 1 year in a leadership role. Required: Nevada Driver’s License and a clean Driver History. Required: Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Certification is required or the ability to supply certification within 30 days of hire. Required: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Preferred: Prior Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.   ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to pass a criminal background/fingerprint check Must maintain eligibility to work with individuals funded through Desert Regional Center Must be able to pass an initial drug and alcohol screening Must be able to be on feet for extended periods, do significant walking and supervise resident recreation.   PHYSICAL ABILITIES & WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of the job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and functions of the position.
