We are seeking to hire Lead Naval Architects to join our team in either Washington, D.C. or Norfolk, VA. Upon award, the position will: Support naval architecture - converting functional requirement for ships into effective, workable, and cost-efficient designs. Support performance of surveys, studies, analysis, ship-checks, design and drawing development and technical reports for material readiness on naval architecture systems.   Position Requirements Required Education, Skills and Experience: Master's Degree in Naval Architecture or structural engineering program. Eight (8) years post-graduate experience in complex hull structures (including various materials), stability, ship salvage and dry-docking operations. Familiar with the development of work items, drawings, analysis, cost estimates, and technical reports for ship repair or related projects. U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. This position is contingent upon and subject to the award of the contract from the government.
