We are seeking to hire Lead Marine Engineers to join our team in either Washington, D.C. or Norfolk, VA. Upon award, the position will: Support designing, building, operating, and maintaining the propulsion and auxiliary systems onboard ships. Support performance of surveys, studies, analysis, ship-checks, design and drawing development and technical reports for material readiness on naval architecture systems.   Position Requirements Required Education, Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering or similar degree. Eight (8) years' experience in marine propulsion and auxiliary systems to include propulsion system shafting, reduction gears, bearings, hydraulic systems, piping/pumping systems, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Propulsion Engines (Diesel, Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine). Familiar with the development of work items, drawings, analysis, cost estimates, and technical reports for ship repair or related projects. Individual must hold a Professional Engineer license in one or more U.S. states and be able to produce proof of same. - OR - Individual must have held a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Merchant Marine Second Assistant Engineer of Steam/Motor/Gas Turbine, Unlimited Horsepower, or higher Credential and be able to produce proof of same. U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. This position is contingent upon and subject to the award of the contract from the government.
