We are seeking to hire Lead Marine Engineers to join our team in either Washington, D.C. or Norfolk, VA. Upon award, the position will:

  • Support designing, building, operating, and maintaining the propulsion and auxiliary systems onboard ships.
  • Support performance of surveys, studies, analysis, ship-checks, design and drawing development and technical reports for material readiness on naval architecture systems.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering or similar degree.
  • Eight (8) years' experience in marine propulsion and auxiliary systems to include propulsion system shafting, reduction gears, bearings, hydraulic systems, piping/pumping systems, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Propulsion Engines (Diesel, Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine).
  • Familiar with the development of work items, drawings, analysis, cost estimates, and technical reports for ship repair or related projects.
  • Individual must hold a Professional Engineer license in one or more U.S. states and be able to produce proof of same. - OR -
  • Individual must have held a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Merchant Marine Second Assistant Engineer of Steam/Motor/Gas Turbine, Unlimited Horsepower, or higher Credential and be able to produce proof of same.
  • U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

This position is contingent upon and subject to the award of the contract from the government. You will be hired on a contingency basis.
