We are seeking to hire Lead Electrical Engineers to join our team in either Washington, D.C. or Norfolk, VA. Upon award, the position will:

  • Support electrical and electronic engineering requirements related to shipboard power, control systems, electronics, and telecommunications.
  • Support performance of surveys, studies, analysis, ship-checks, design and drawing development and technical reports for material readiness on electrical and electronic engineering systems.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar degree.
  • Eight (8) years' experience in marine power plants, propulsion control systems, electrical and lighting distribution system, navigation and electronics system design, installation and operation after earning BS degree.
  • Familiar with the development of work items, drawings, analysis, cost estimates, and technical reports for ship repair or related projects.
  • Individual must hold a Professional Engineer license in one or more U.S. states and be able to produce proof of same. - OR -
  • Individual must have held a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Merchant Marine Second Assistant Engineer of Steam/Motor/Gas Turbine, Unlimited Horsepower, or higher Credential and be able to produce proof of same.
  • U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

This position is contingent upon and subject to the award of the contract from the government. You will be hired on a contingency basis.
