Share Email Opening Title Chief Pilot  Description Job Summary: The Chief Pilot supervises flight and ground operations. Essential Functions: Maintain pilot and FAA records Maintain compliance with FAR's and company policies and procedures Serve as a pilot crewmember Assist with interviewing and hiring new employees Maintain and distribute all applicable FAA publications regarding the flight department Conduct a daily review of aircraft status including a review of aircraft operating under a deferral by following the MEL Management Program. Update and distribute MEL revisions. Maintain pilot status records. Complete duties assigned by the Director of Operations Revise and distribute operations manual revisions. Provide Initial and Recurrent Training for all employees as required Conduct checkrides for current pilots. Maintain compliance with TSA regulations Maintain security training records for all personnel. Maintain employee drug/Alcohol testing and compliance program. Oversee dispatch operations. Other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements Job Requirements: 3 years Part 135/121 experience. See Part 119.71 for requirements. Commercial Pilot with instrument rating and multi engine rating Current Second Class Medical 1,200 TT, 500 XC, 100 Night, 75 Instrument, at least 50 ME (preferred) SA-227 Metro III Type Rating (preferred) Be able to pass a criminal background check and a preemployment drug test Environment: This position is primarily an office position. However, this position is also required to fly different routes to many areas of the country under various weather conditions. This position is primarily a Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekends/holidays Physical Demands: Be able to lift and/or move 70 lbs of cargo to shoulder height. Be able to open/close and push/pull doors and other objects.
