The Concept
Carriqui is the definitive hospitality destination of South Texas. The 380-seat restaurant is dedicated to the foods of our region—from Gulf coast seafood to Hill Country barbecue to Rio Grande Valley-inspired botana platters. Located on the northern edge of the Pearl neighborhood, this restaurant will occupy a historic building that has been home to many storied establishments.

Position Summary
The Experience Maker (Server) will come in ready to work with a pressed uniform and groomed, take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables according to restaurant specifications, courteously and efficiently. Maintain our service standards.

Essential Functions
• Understand guest's service needs.
• Prioritize, organize and follow-up.
• Take initiative, work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent restaurant data.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, preparation method, ingredients, sauces, preparation time, garnishes, presentation, and prices.
• Ability to access and input information into POS system.
• Maintain good coordination and timing while serving orders quickly.
• Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by liquor regulations as per TABC guidelines and provincial liquor codes.
• Adhere to all payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
• An expectation of hybrid participation, in both the Hospitality and Culinary teams.
• A minimum of 20% of your time is to be spent on guest service interaction.

Required Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum (1-2) years previous experience in a high-volume environment
• Must have current TABC Certification and a flexible schedule.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods standing and working of 8 hours or more.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
• Ability to exert physical effort in transporting food and beverage guests

Benefits
• PTO (paid-time-off) after 30 days of employment, pro-rated based on the actual hire date. PTO is accrued January 1st of each year.
• Seven (7) paid holidays per year.

• Company paid Group-term life insurance equal to two times base salary. Additional coverage for yourself and/or dependents at your own expense of the insurance costs.
• Company paid short-term and long-term disability insurance.

• Participation in Flexible Spending Accounts (Health Care and Dependent Care Reimbursement). (Full-time associates only)
• Fringe Benefits: Nationwide Pet Insurance, Wellness Program, Tuition Reimbursement up to $5,000 per year.
• Eligibility to participate in the Silver Associate Savings Plan (401k). In addition, the company will match 100% of the first 3% contributed and then 50% of the next 2% contributed by you. The company match is fully vested when contributed. Participation eligibility will begin on the first day of the month following 90-days of continuous employment.
