Description

Federal Contract Requirements: Provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination. Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident.

JOB PURPOSE: The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of youth in care, as well as direct supervision of Youth Care Workers. The Shift Supervisor ensures the daily programming activities are provided during the course of their shift. The Shift Supervisor maintains a flexible, organized and efficient work schedule.

 
Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSBILITIES: 

  • Maintain appropriate documentation of employees under their direct supervision. 
  • Ensure direct care staff follow the ORR Policy and Procedures for the care of minors. 
  • Provide floor coverage when needed.   
  • Complete annual performance appraisals of employees under their direct supervision. 
  • Develop positive rapport with the children while serving as a role model to create a safe and caring environment. 
  • Must ensure all required shift paper work is completed in a timely manner and entered into Vision Link and/or the UAC portal. 
  • Assist with the Education department in the coordination of special educational events and educational field trips. 
  • Assist with approved weekend outings for the children. 
  • Ensure vocational classes are taught based on the provided curriculum. 
  • Ensure children receive Physical Education, as well as Large Muscle group according to the Daily operational schedule. 
  • Ensure the Daily operational scheduled is followed. 
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with the Program Director and Assistant Program Director. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be at least 21 years old. 
  • Proficiency in Spanish/English (written and spoken language skills), required. 
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Google tools. 
  • Successfully pass a TB test annually. 
  • Be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform assigned task. 
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries. 
  • Successfully pass a drug screen. 
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality. 
  • Affidavit for Applicants for Employment with a Licensed Operation or Registered Children’s Home.

 

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 year of experience working with children either through paid employment or volunteer work. 
  • Supervisor experience, preferred. 

LICENSES: Clear driving record. 

WORK LOCATION: Eagle Lake Children’s Center in-person. 

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel in case of an emergency evacuation and as the business need dictates. Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs. Willingness to work other duties as required.

Salary/Wage $25.20/hour
