Due to our phenomenal growth, 30% in 2021 and again this calendar year, we currently have an opening for a Director of Product Management of our new commercial SAAS product: Templeton.

As the Diretor, you will connect the business objectives prioritized by the stakeholders with the functional needs of the marketplace and our customers.  You will have the opportunity to work with and lead teams across Engineering, Data Science, Business Development and Marketing.  You should be comfortable working with a higher degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of problem solving.  The output of your work will be a commercial product of our proprietary Customer Insight Platform (“Templeton”) that our Media business’ customers use, love and value on a regular basis.

Essential Job Duties

  • Work with users (internal and external) of our proprietary Customer Insight Platform (“Templeton”) to understand their needs, challenges, and market-specific use cases. Analyze competitor and partner/open-source capabilities. Use these insights and data to create a product requirement document. (20%)
  • Collaborate with Market Leaders, Sales Reps, Customer Engagement Analysts, Client Success Managers, Customer Project Managers, UX Designers, Software Developers and leadership to prioritize the best product development roadmap.  (10%)
  • Partner with Project management to translate prioritized user and product requirements into executable work items that the development team can implement in the product. Have sufficient technical knowledge necessary to explain feature requirements to project management and development, and work with them to deliver these capabilities for users. (20%) 
  • Work with Market Leaders to establish Templeton product feature packages and pricing to accelerate growth in our Media business and establish revenue in a new Software channel (10%)
  • Support the BD and Key account teams by providing product expertise to them and their clients positioning Life Science Connect as a uniquely valuable integrated marketing partner. (15%)
  • Collaborate with Marketing to build the Templeton brand, create product collateral and training content to drive adoption, and develop promotional campaigns to increase client/prospect awareness and interest (10%)
  • Partner with Client Success Manager to identify client challenges, problems, needs and work together to develop solutions (training, processes, new features) to address these issues/needs. (10%)
  • Regularly monitor and analyze customer usage to determine which software capabilities are being used, adding value, need improvement, and/or need to be optimized (5%)

 

 
Position Requirements

Required Education

  • Bachelors in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Science

 

Required Skills / Experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required since the Product Manager has to communicate with team members, other departments, and clients
  • Expertise in the product or market including specific technical or industry knowledge
  • Superior project management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Natural tendency to be curious and creative
  • Track record of following their customer - a commitment to learning the challenges they present or experience
