JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Insurance will be responsible for leading Financial Services' oversight of both Finance & Insurance (F&I), ancillary/assurance, and Property & Casualty (P&C) products.

The role will ensure our consumers have the right product offerings to meet their needs through strategic partners and ensure coverage, growth, and profitability plans are achieved.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Lead the design and implementation of product offerings across both F&I and P&C insurance for VinFast
  • Oversee the relationships with ancillary/assurance warranty vendors, insurance brokers, and direct carriers to ensure expectations are communicated, managed, and achieved
  • Design and implement governance and KPI metrics related to insurance offerings
  • Continuously monitors and analyzes key performance indicators and takes appropriate action to correct adverse trends and inform National and Global leadership
  • Identify opportunities and risks associated with changes in direction of the external environment with a forward look
  • Determine which emerging issues (internal and external) are relevant to VinFast's current and future needs and ensure strategies, programs, and processes incorporate these
  • Monitors and controls insurance profit and loss bottom line to ensure growth and profitability plans are met
  • Provides leadership and direction to Sales and Store Management to achieve objectives (i.e., profitable growth, product mix, retention)
  • Effectively communicate across all levels including executive management
  • Design and implement key processes for the organization as a whole
  • Work cross-functionally and highly collaboratively with key stakeholders
  • Partner with internal departments to align strategies
  • Additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7-10 years of progressive work experience within F&I and P&C, associated with automotive OEMs
  • Strategic thinker with proven leadership success with 3rd party relationship management and product management within the insurance industry
  • Process design experience, in particular around governance and within a regulatory environment
  • In-depth knowledge of the market participants, practices, and products
  • Ability to effectively align resources with business opportunities and support Sales to achieve retention and new business goals
  • Demonstrated use of analytics to drive performance, strategy, and decision making
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the business of marketplace developments, competitors, and trends related to the automotive and insurance industry
  • Possesses a high level of motivation to exceed goals, and provides necessary involvement within the team
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills
  • Growth-focused and motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly flexible and adaptable
