Location: Frederick, MD

We are currently seeking rising undergraduate juniors or seniors working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sciences or Engineering for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.

Objectives/Goals of the Position:

  • Expand digital footprint in inventory management and in logistics areas.
  • Identify slow moving inventory and potential inventory obsolescence.
  • Drive improvements to Operations Planning/Site S&OP Meeting.
  • Develop supply chain operations employee onboarding process/tools.

Primary Duties:

  • Partner with raw material planning team and identify slow moving inventory.
  • Partner with scheduling team on identifying scrap and look for solutions to reduce waste.
  • Update SAP master data to reflect updated supplier lead times and safety stocks.
  • Assist logistics team on electronic Kanban roll-out to manufacturing and labs.
 
Position Requirements
  • Rising undergraduate juniors or seniors working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sciences or Engineering.
  • Analytical and communication skills.
  • Excel, Word, and general computer skills.
  • Self-management (prioritization, time management and focus).
  • Basic understanding of Supply Chain & Lean concepts.
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0
