Location: Frederick, MD

We are currently seeking rising undergraduate seniors, master or PhD-level students working towards a degree in engineering, project management, or science-related field for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.

Objectives/Goals of the Position:

Gain knowledge and experience in the initiation, planning and execution of strategic and capital projects at the Frederick site. Additional objectives and goals maybe pursued with respect to PMO group processes and infrastructure such as portfolio management, performance reporting and data collection for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for senior leadership review.

Primary Duties:

Assistance with the planning, coordination and execution of the pre-work activities required for the 2023/2024 B633 Shutdown as well as other key strategic and capital projects. Duties may also include developing process flow diagrams and narratives for required PMO processes and collecting/collating the associated data.

 
Position Requirements
  • Rising undergraduate seniors, master or PhD-level students working towards a degree in engineering, project management, or science-related field.
  • Engineering and/or science background.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of applications.
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be comfortable wearing Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE – hard hats, steel toe shoes, safety glasses and vests) as project work dictates.
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0.
