Location: Frederick, MD

We are currently seeking rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, or graduate level masters/PhD students working towards a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, Data Science, or Statistics for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.

Objectives/Goals of the Position:

The intern will deliver new ways for predicting and modeling process performance for biologics manufacturing as well as provide data summarization and visualization for conveying trends to key stakeholders.

Primary Duties:

Partner with Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MS&T) to develop and enhance the process monitoring and understanding of commercial products through modeling and visualization of process performance, microbial monitoring and raw material data. Generate meaningful insights applying statistical techniques, to create chemometric, predictive, machine learning and forecasting statistical models.

 
Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, or graduate level masters/PhD students working towards a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, Data Science, or Statistics.

  • Background in biosciences with the ability to apply data science concepts to analyze and interpret biotechnology data.

  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0
