Location: Frederick, MD

We are currently seeking rising undergraduate sophomores, juniors, or senior, or graduate-level masters or Ph-D students working towards a science-based degree for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.

Objectives/Goals of the Position:

Participate in the development of a robust business process for second sourcing of critical reagents to support commercial products and safe guard AstraZeneca against unnecessary business risks.

Primary Duties:

  • Generate a database of reagents with second sourcing options currently in place and identify where gaps exist.
  • Determine which reagents provide the highest level of business risk.
  • In collaboration with procurement develop a business process for how these reagents and risk are communicated as requiring second sources.
  • Develop a capabilities requirements list for AZ to use in assessing potential vendors.
  • Proceduralize the process for implementation in business as usual activities.
 
Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Rising undergraduate sophomores, juniors, or senior, or graduate-level masters or Ph-D students working towards a science-based degree.
  • Basic computer (e.g., Excel) and documentation skills rquired. 
  • Experience with PowerBI and PowerAutomate desired, but not required.
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0
