Candidate Profile
Hilldrup has an immediate need for a detail-oriented incumbent responsible for processing inventory in and out of the warehouse. The ideal candidate is driven to accurately control the warehouse inventory by utilizing handhelds scanners, monitoring emails, using software to schedule inventory requests, and to pull/process, load/ship orders. The selected incumbent will thrive in a face-paced work environment and be committed to ensuring levels of service, quality of work, and deadlines are met. Finally, the incumbent will serve Hilldrup customers while consistently demonstrating Hilldrup’s cultural values and our desire to be the best moving services company, period. 

In addition, the incumbent for this position will be expected to adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness. This position has daily contact with customers, project managers, warehouse personnel contract administrators, national account personnel and other involved with various storage and relocation projects.  
 
Significant Responsibilities and Essential Functions 

  1. Keep abreast of new asset management products and services. All persons in the position are responsible for knowing all software and new releases;
  2. Monitor emails and scheduling software for inventory requests;
  3. Utilize handheld scanners for processing inventory in/out of the warehouse;
  4. Verify, compare, and confirm type and quantity of received/shipped goods against information contained on bills of lading, invoices, pick tickets or other records by weighing and/or counting incoming and outgoing merchandise;
  5. Receive and put away inventory and load/unload boxes into trucks/vans for shipping;
  6. Catalog various makes and models of systems furniture;
  7. Perform daily cycle counts on inventory;
  8. Use inventory software to pull, process and load/ship orders;
  9. Operates lift truck/pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area;
  10. Ensure product meets quality requirements for customers;
  11. Ensure that outgoing shipments meet proper packing/loading standards and specifications;
  12. Troubleshoot problems;
  13. Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness;
  14. Coordinate with transition team and customers to discuss their warehouse needs;
  15. Responsible to see that all customer SLA’s are adhered to including:  Service objectives and logistics, key performance indicators and reporting and methodology;
  16. Conduct a regular audit of all customers on electronic inventory;
  17. Provides accurate and detailed estimates to customers;
  18. Other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements
  • High Diploma or equivalent work experience;
  • Minimum of two years of asset management preferred; 
  • 1 to 2 years of inventory and warehouse experience;
  • Product knowledge of main manufacturers of cubicles and case goods preferred but not required;
  • Thorough understanding of the basic steps and principles of systems furniture installation preferred;
  • Ability to work overtime as needed;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision as well as part of a team;
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral;
  • Adept computer skills;
  • Ability to continuously prioritize various day to day job duties and have the ability to make timely and accurate decisions;
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push utility carts up to 60 pounds, pull, squat, bend, lift up to 49 pounds, and carry for up to 6-10 hours daily;
  •  Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around;
  • Go up and down stairs (where applicable);
  • Operate lift truck/pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
