The Public Relations Administrator is responsible for working with the Community Engagement & Development Lead, as well as the PR Specialist, to execute objectives that target overall brand reputation by supporting the mission and value of Blue Federal Credit Union in the communities we serve. Instrumental in tracking and reporting on results as well as fulfilling back end administrative duties such as project management, personnel tracking and calendar management. Supports Public Relations to spread awareness on products, services, promotions, passions and causes. Creates “a smooth operating environment that assists in the overall public relations department goals of increasing organization exposure, consistent production and positive opinion.

This position is responsible for:

  • Work to track and report on all public relations activities. This includes sponsorship and partner organization tracking, volunteer tracking and fulfillment, internal communication around volunteer opportunities, working with Blue’s marketing department to make sure all events have necessary collateral. Support PR Specialist and PRL at CU events, such as but not limited to the following- Shred Day, Youth Month, International Credit Union Day, Bike to Work Day, Bikes, Beers, and Brats, Membership appreciate events, Do Good events, Get Outside with Blue events.

  • Assist with strategizing SWAG for Blue, as well as being a key player from conception to launch of an online store featuring Blue-branded items and all related aspects of costing, return on investment, and impact on the brand. Manages vendor relations, pricing, and negotiations; exercises fiscal discipline to align with budget.

  • Kadince software expert – ensuring all sponsorship requests are properly vetted, entered, and tracked in the program.

  • Assemble all sponsorship and promotional programs for VP of PR to review making sure to determine whether they are compatible with Wyoming/Colorado communities and members.

  • Update department spreadsheets, including sponsorship tracking, budget tracking, ticket tracking, swag tracking, etc.

  • Develops, monitors and executes Track-it-Forward for all events supported by Blue Credit Union , as well as Blue Foundation opportunities.

  • Assist Public Relations team and track needs related to strategic goals with the 5 anchors.

  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the PATRIOT Act, and the Offce of Foreign Assets Control.

Full Time Position

Compensation Range: $14.56 - $21.84

Position Requirements

EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year in the financial industry, 3 -5 years customer service experience preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Offce. Strong communication and organizational skills for use in handling multiple details and projects. Ability to work independently under strict timelines. Adhere to Blue’s Mission and Values, maintains brand expectations, and seeks opportunities to maximize Blue’s exposure.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: A high school degree or equivalent

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. Communications generally require shorter and not in-depth discussions.
